PFL recently printed note cards for artist, Nancy Wiley. As noted on her website, she is a nationally recognized doll artist and painter. Wiley’s creations include whimsical doll figures made of paper clay or porcelain, figurative sculpture, mixed media pieces and paintings. Her work, inspired by fine art, mythology and fairy tales, is exhibited in museums and galleries and sold to private collectors. Her prolific career spans more than two decades.
With her work of Mark Twain, if you look carefully, the Mississippi River runs down his leg and his shoe is a paddleboat. This work was shown at the Muscatine Art Center and is also featured in A Dollmaker’s Art: The Creations Of Nancy Wiley.
