The Alpine Team
was born and raised in San Mateo, California - a wonderful community on the San Francisco peninsula. He graduated from San Jose State University in 1978 with a journalism degree and a dream to be a sports writer. While covering prep and college sports for the local daily, he found that running a printing press in San Francisco was a better paycheck and lots of fun. Mark remained in The City for a long career in the printing industry, settling in with a specialty in plant management. He moved with his wife and children to Kalispell, Montana in 2007, then to Bozeman 6 years later to join the PFL team. Mark enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, books, movies, music and following his beloved Giants & Niners.
grew up just east of L.A. in the San Gabriel Mountain foothills and up and down the coast of SoCal, surfing almost daily and maintaining a much tanner and fit appearance than he now chooses to display. He has a degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, and a minor in Biblical Studies, a pursuit that has reaped him virtually no benefits, apart from impressing little old ladies at the buffet. Dave considers himself, above all, a writer, but he also loves restoring vintage motorcycles, reading, boxing, writing and playing music, and pretending to be a documentarian. Dave moved with his babe of a wife Sarah and his absurdly cute children Avery and Asher to Bozeman in December of 2013 after seven years in Austin, TX.
grew up in Laurel Montana after fleeing the crowds of Southern
California in 1998. Laurel was home until she graduated high school in 2008. She
graduated from MSU Bozeman in 2013, majoring in Exercise Science. Her soul is
happiest when in the mountains of Montana with her boyfriend Adam. Backpacking
under the stars, peak bagging, traveling, rock climbing, floating, and mountain biking
are the ideal ways to spend her summer days. Luckily, winter isn't too bad either,
because she spends her spare time volunteering for Eagle Mount at Bridger Bowl
skiing and snowboarding. A Montana girl wouldn't be complete without dogs, which
she has three. An honest mutt named Oreo, a Boxer named Buster, and a rescue
Pit Bull named Doc.
