Ya did it again Tim.......
Great descriptions of what you enjoy here in MT. It was a great "happening" when we transferred off the Great American Steppe, alias N.D. and found our home here in MT. I share your zest for winter and have enjoyed winter activities while living in 5-6 states, except for skiing and ice climbing. I regret that I did not muster the drive to ski over the past decades. But, I relish knowing that you are able to enjoy that venture.
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall....each is loaded with positive activities here in MT., and you have found many to keep you young, fit, and enjoying life. Stay with it.

I'm originally from Minnesota (where the temp almost always dips to -30 at least once in the winter) and I moved away from there to get away from all the shoveling, freezing, and ice. So, where did I move? The Pacific Northwest--west of Seattle--where we got over 12 inches of snow on the ground just before Christmas. What the...? It was a reminder, though, of the good things about snow--I saw a mini snowman on top of a car, there were snow angels in the front of the apartment building, everyone had at least one "snow day" (no school or work), and--the thing I had totally forgotten--how things sound when there's snow on the ground. Everything sounds quieter, there's just something about it that can't be described to someone who's never experienced it.

Thanks for sharing what you love about it. Mostly I love the hot cocoa with marshmallows all curled up with my cat, my down throws, and a thoroughly entertaining book.

Happy New Year!
