That title may be an obvious statement to most, especially around lunchtime we all get hungry, and eagerly bolt from our desks to devour a sandwich, salad or something cobbled together from leftovers. But at PFL, we actually like to take it one step further: Chili Cookoff.
Yes indeed, if you fancy yourself a chili-making guru, this is the place to be. We typically have a dozen or so recipes on hand, and a chosen team of judges and tasters. It is a tough job, but a darn tasty one, too.
Past winners have had ingredients ranging from elk, buffalo and antelope to goat cheese, tumeric and peanuts. When you walk upstairs and see all of those Crock Pots simmering away, grab a bowl, a hunk of cornbread, and get ready to chow down.
It is a great way to let the chefs amongst our ranks impress us with their creativity, and feed us at the same time.
Dig in…
If anyone out there has any kick-ass chili recipes, please send them over!
