Direct Mail on the Rise in 2011
A recent analysis from the marketing consulting firm Winterberry Group  shows a positive outlook for direct channels in 2011. The data, which was recently featured in Print in the Mix, shows that spending is expected to increase 5.8% in 2011, to $47 billions dollars.

Small Businesses on the Up and Up
According to Small Business Trends, the results of Intuit's Small Business Employment Index  for March shows that small firms created about 50,000 new jobs in March. That's a 0.2 percent increase from February's reading but it's also an annual growth rate of nearly 3 percent. Even better, Intuit notes that small businesses have created 820,000 new jobs since the labor market started recovering in October 2009.
